Condemned 2: Bloodshot is finally out, and here's my animation contribution to the project! (click on the picture above to view my latest animation reel - 17 years or older please) I'm really pleased with what team Yeti accomplished with this game. What a pleasure it's been working with such an outstanding group of people. The amount of tallent working on this game was immense, and I'm very thankful for having had the opportunity to be a part of it. Beyond animation lead, I had a heavy hand regarding gameplay creation and combat design. If you get a chance to play the game, I sincerely hope you enjoy it.

Tofu the Vegan Zombie was thought up by my friend William Vaughan. He's making a line of toys out of this little guy, as well as more animated clips. Here's my contribution to his dream. I did this as a fun side project to help get the ball rolling for him. Model was created by Will, the rest is my work. Animation is all keyframe, done using character studio. Video Collection 2006 - Condemned: Criminal Origins - The first half of the reel is all keyframe animation. The second half is animation using mocap, which was a first for me at the time. I've included a before and after to make it clear how much keyframe animation went into the "cleanup" process. I didn't want to bog down the reel with too much of this, so the comparisons are only in the first 4 clips in the mocap section. As a side note, the cloth on the dual stick character, and all the weapons were hand keyed by me (no physics simulation). The cloth animations for the staff character were animated by a co-worker (Thanks Ron!). Anyway, I hope you enjoy the ride! Please feel free to give feedback or ask questions! foofinu@yahoo.com As a side note for anyone interested on how I went about "cleaning" the mocap, check out issue 9 of HDRI 3D Magazine. I explain much of the process, as well as get all motivational in that issue! A big thanks to Proton for the hook-up with that! |
| Demo Reel 2005 - This reel's been constantly updated since my first job out of college. You'll find plenty of Xmen: Legends, Jedi Academy, Duke Nukem, and various other games and side projects. It's a collection of my best works leading up to my previous job with Monolith. But you guys must be sick of this one. Check out my new reel at the top of the page! | |
| Fun-Gow!! I began this as a 10 second club clip, until I discovered the site was dead. I decided to complete it anyway because the sound clip was so damn cool, and I needed a personal animation outlet. Working on realistic and violent video games for so many years had me craving something more... smiley/sunny! Thanks to William "Proton" Vaughan for the great Giraffe model. Total creation time about 25 hours. Character Studio/ 3DS Max 7 for animation and non-giraffe models. Crayola & paper for background. My son, Caid drew the clouds, and the smiley face on the sun. | |

After the original Condemned was over, we were given
some time to try out new ways of doing things. I wanted to try out Motion
Builder, and how it handles keyframe animation. I found some good reference
material, and went nuts. It's not perfect, but considering Motion Builder
is new to me, I'm proud of the results. The cloth is keyframed as well
(in Maya though).
